The Accra High Court has adjusted the bail conditions for Kwabena Adu-Boahene, the former Director-General of the National Signals Bureau (NSB), lowering the amount from GHS120 million to GHS80 million.
Meanwhile, his wife, Angela Adjei Boateng, remains on bail set at GHS80 million, with two sureties required to be justified.
As part of their bail conditions, both Adu-Boahene and his wife must report to the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) three times a week. They are also prohibited from traveling without prior approval from EOCO.
The couple was taken into custody following an EOCO investigation into allegations of embezzlement, fraud, and illicit financial dealings. Adu-Boahene, who led the NSB from 2017 until February 2025, is accused of misappropriating state funds by channeling millions of Ghanaian cedis into personal accounts.
Following the court’s decision, the couple’s lawyer, Samuel Atta Akyea, expressed confidence that Adu-Boahene would meet the revised bail terms.
