Update: Over 60 cars damaged, two individuals trapped under collapsed ANC Mall car park shed

Two individuals who were idling under the car park of the ANC Mall were trapped under the collapsed shed.

However, the timely intervention of the private security personnel at the car park rescued them with the support of some visitors.

It was estimated that over 60 cars were damaged by the collapsed shed.

A heavy downpour on Tuesday evening wreaked havoc at the ANC Mall in East Legon, Accra, causing significant damage to the shopping center’s car park.

At approximately 5:30 p.m., strong winds and thunder accompanied the rain, tearing down the shed covering the parking area.

ModernGhana News gathered that the collapse of the structure left several vehicles trapped underneath, belonging to visitors who had parked there before the storm.

Eyewitnesses described the scene as chaotic, with mall patrons scrambling for safety as the storm intensified.
