A heavy downpour on Tuesday evening has wreaked havoc at the ANC Mall in East Legon, Accra, causing significant damage to the shopping center’s car park.
At approximately 5:30 p.m., strong winds and thunder accompanied the rain, tearing down the shed covering the parking area.
ModernGhana News gathered that the collapse of the structure left several vehicles trapped underneath, belonging to visitors who had parked there before the storm.
Eyewitnesses described the scene as chaotic, with mall patrons scrambling for safety as the storm intensified.
The Ghana National Fire Service has yet to report to the scene at the time of filing this report.
