Incontrovertible information available to AFAG indicates that Richard Jakpa is carrying out raids without a valid warrant, targeting public servants who served in various roles during the previous administration.
Relevant authorities—including the Interior Minister, the National Security Coordinator, and the leadership of the National Intelligence Bureau (NIB)—have not issued official statements or been held accountable, which bolsters the assertion that higher levels of government sanctioned these raids.
To date, Richard Jakpa has led four raids, two of which targeted the residences of prominent individuals without any warrants. These operations typically involve heavily armed men, disabling CCTV systems, and confiscating vehicles and surveillance equipment. There are also reports of valuables, including jewellery, mobile phones, and laptops, taken during these raids.
The motivation behind these operations remains shrouded in secrecy. They are regarded as highly classified activities carried out by factions within the presidency, which accounts for the absence of official communication from the government or security agencies concerning the purpose or motivation for the raids.
AFAG demands transparency and accountability regarding these controversial actions. Failing to address this issue may compel citizens to take measures to protect themselves when their homes are invaded by these adrenaline-fuelled operatives, potentially leading to fatalities.
