Vice President, Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, has officially assumed her role as the first female Chairperson of the Ghana Armed Forces Council.
She was sworn in alongside other council members during a ceremony held at the Presidency on Monday, March 24.
The newly appointed members include Edward Kofi Omane Boamah, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, Mubarak Mohammed Muntaka, Daniel Addo, Fuseini Iddrisu, and Nancy Dakwa Ampofo.
The Ghana Armed Forces Council is responsible for overseeing military operations and offering strategic guidance to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the country’s defense forces.
