The state nust be seen to being in charge and in control of all issues.

Right, let's sum up:

Chapter 1: Bawku and environs tribal wars. Senseless.

You the ethnic warriors up north, for humanity sake, stop the unnecessary bloodshed. You aren't the only ones with grievances Enough is enough.

Now many commentators are of the view that activities of military personnel sent to conflict areas has not come to much. Instead of peace enforcement in those areas, it looks like their efforts have come to nothing. Instead of enforcing and maintaining peace between waring factions engaged in senseless killing and maiming. The situation is seemingly getting out of hand with soldiers now engaged in self preservation as we are told soldiers are now acting to protect themselves a defeat of the original mission of enforcing law and order. I was almost in danger of aligning with those who are agitating for the removal or withdrawal of soldiers from the areas. Then a thought came to mind that is, if in a country, the police department can not maintain law and order.

If the courts or justice system have long siezed to be the respected and the fair abitor of disputes. If the military too are being seen as not good enough. Then question is, do we still have a state. By this analysis, I would urge the home minister and every stakeholder to have a viable plan and stay with that plan. We haven't get all tribal and ethnic disputes resolved, and quickly. I agree that officers and men of the army must have a sound debrief of their objective and how to attain it. Knowledge in modern conflict resolutions technics, very essential indeed. They have to improve on peace building and peace enforcing/keeping duties going forward. If standards has fallen so low that our military institution too has become substandard then really we are in trouble.

When it comes to fighting galamsey, not much success there either, though I will attribute failure in combating galamsey to partisan politics more anything else. If the crooks within the politicoshpere will leave the soldiers alone, there will be a way out to success. But now that ndc crooks have taken over from the npp in the ilegal mining venture, I wouldn't bet on the military getting any results. Bitter for ndc lovers but it has to be said. NDC ilegal mining criminals are now in control.

In all this, let's speak the truth without mincing words, let it be said to the people in those areas in all seriousness, enough is enough. As a country, we are up to our necks, we are completely fed up with endless, senseless, yearly ethnic bloodbath for no good reason. The idea that a tribe, or an ethnic group will decide to go to war because of alleged stolen lands or over chieftaincy disputes, this behaviour belongs to the primitive era. Someone will have to speak sternly to our folks up north and others elsewhere in the country that taking up arms to fight and kill other people in Ghana is totally and completely against our sovereign laws. No grievances or reasons warrants such lawlessness. The state and everyone must be firm in the attempts to bring peaceful coexistence to all parts of the country. Nobody is special above anyone. If chieftaincy disputes in other parts of the country will not or do not result in machete killing spree, so should it be up north too.

Nobody is entitled to take laws into their own ethnic or tribal hands. Seriously, we are tired. Those criminal behaviour of our fellow country-people in Bawku and other areas, and those who are behind such abominable behaviour, the instigators and promoters of such primitive ethnic violence, should be rounded up and sent to jail. Nobody is should be allowed to disturb the relative peace in Ghana. The state must not shy away. The state should not handle criminals with kids gloves. As it is, we yearn for progress. we need to modernise. Without peace in neighbourhoods, it is impossible to achieve any measure of improvements in living standards. For this reason, we urge the state to fall heavily on trouble makers. The law must find and deal ruthlessly with local thugs and their backers. The state must deal decisively with trouble makers everywhere in sovereign Ghana. enough is enough.

Chapter 2: Fact! Our justice system is not fit for purpose

Anas Aremeyaw Anas vs Kennedy Agyapong. Now, it is one thing having a heirloom which has outlived its relevance and another thing not knowing or pretend not to know the item of your desire is in fact worthless. Did I hear someone say that different outcomes of the Anas/Kennedy Agyapong case doesn't make our justice system inept. Well I beg to differ. The Roman Catholics have a song which goes like "brighten the corner where you are" so I can only assume that lawyer Martin Kpebu said those words in just.

He was in to defend and protect the side he belongs to but I can still safely assume that lawyer Martin Kpebu knows very well that our justice system is in near-shambles. We know from recent judicial performances and pronouncements. The justice system has not covered itself in glory at all. No need to reminiscent or to throw a reminder of the numerous court rulings such as what to do with a national Birth Certificate which is issued to citizens by the state. Not long ago, we in London had a durbar with Ghana's deputy foreign minister, a gentleman known by the name, Apratwum.

The gathering was at the High Commission premises where Mr. Apratwum noted that even the UK Home Office(interior ministry) had by then started doubting the validity of birth certificate issued to Ghanaians by Ghana government. Again, it is a well-known fact that foreign investors and entrepreneurs do not rate our justice system that much. They avoid relying solely on our legal systems. Instead, they rope in outside legal entities to be included in contract negotiations and in contract agreements as a backup for when necessary. For the afore mentioned reasons, one can safely say our justice or judicial system is not much to write home about. The more honest we are about this, the better our chances at making good and getting the system up to acceptable standard.

Chapter 3: The only difference now is that ndc barons doing the crime.

Galamsey. What else can I say, except to say that Ghanaians are still talking about galamsey. Everybody is talking about galamsey. Nothing has changed except for the fact that the crime ring leadership has changed. Just last year 2024, The galamsey kingpins and barons were NPP people. Today in 2025, the illegal trade is in the hands of NDC barons. What else to say except to agree with a few people including Erastus Asare Donkoh that official behaviour and posture of this new ndc administration galamsey fight is nothing but a betrayal.

Chapter 4: The Jakpa syndrome. Jakpa, until and unless he steps out of line, he is not going anywhere

The man, Richard Jakpa was the person who was sinned against. Jakpa was the one the previous Attorney General tried to use as a tool to get an innocent man in jail. The story was that the AG at the time wanted Jakpa, a witness in a case, to lie against Eii! Ato, in order to make a case for eii Ato to be jailed. This guy, Jakpa refused to be the person who would have responsible for unlawfully sending an innocent man to prison. Today, that AG is walking and breathing free air. He may soon find himself a nice lucrative job

He will continue living his life. So my question is, what has Jakpa done wrong to attract such negative comments from notable Ghanaians.

How is he the bad one here. And why shouldn't he be allowed do the job he is good at. Why shouldn't his superiors send him on a search and retrieve mission. Why has all hell broken loose because Jakpa is the leadman in a search party. For those of you who simply think that the unfettered comforts of crime suspects should come well above the work of persons who carry out investigations for the state, well, I'm afraid Jakpa, until or unless he actually steps out of line in the course of his duties, he is not going anywhere. tough! Live with it.

Chapter 5: Adwoa is talking herself into serious trouble

The Adwoa Sarfo carrousel of tell all. Someone will have to tell Adwoa Sarfo that we thank her for going round and telling us all about it. But Madam Sarfo should well be notified that she is not doing neither herself nor her party any favours at all. Everything she has said and continue to say, is well documented and at the appropriate time she will have a lot to answer. She should know that soon, she'd have talked her party into obscurity and into oblivion and herself into serious trouble. But no need to stop. Adwoa, continue talking wai.
