The General Overseer of Open Arms Ministry, St. Sark, has strongly criticized members of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) for what he described as their "unnecessary" critique of the National Democratic Congress (NDC)'s 2025 Budget Statement and Economic Policy, which was presented to Parliament on Tuesday, March 11.
According to St. Sark, the budget is one of the best in Ghana’s history, as it has boosted public confidence in the ruling party.
"The NPPs through propaganda are dwelling on primitive ways of doing politics to pollute the minds of Ghanaians against the budget. They better stop that," he stated.
Speaking to journalists on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, St. Sark argued that after their humiliating defeat in the 2024 general elections, the NPP should focus on strategizing for a comeback rather than faulting the budget.
"Nothing shows you want to come back to power in 2028 because instead of correcting your errors, you are busily finding faults with the budget.
"If the NPP really means a comeback, what they should do is to apologize to Ghanaians for all the mistakes they committed when they were in power.
"They should make a public confession for their error-tinted administration and beg for forgiveness from Ghanaians," he advised.
