
President John Mahama has directed the newly appointed Comptroller-General of the Ghana Immigration Service, DCI Samuel Basintale Amadu, to intensify efforts in the fight against human trafficking and transnational crimes.
Speaking at the swearing-in ceremony for newly appointed security chiefs, President Mahama emphasized the need for heightened surveillance to curb human trafficking and related offenses.
He also urged the Immigration Service to strengthen inter-agency collaboration to tackle transnational crimes, including drug trafficking, more effectively.
The President called on all security personnel to support their new leadership, assuring them of the government’s commitment to their welfare and the provision of necessary resources to enhance national security efforts.
