Dear critical-reader, Belgium deserves praise for criticising Rwanda's President Paul Kagame for the tragedy in eastern DR Congo. It is vital that Belgium ignores the arrogant tantrums of Paul Kagame, who, having fought bravely to stop genocide in what is now effectively an apartheid state dominated by Tutsis, should not be sponsoring M23. This group is causing untold misery in a war whose objective is to create a greater Tutsi entity and make DR Congo a client state, enabling Rwanda's ruling elites to pillage its giant mineral-rich neighbour.
The truth needs to be told. In the AI era, no tribe is superior or inferior in today's Africa. Impressive though his track record of achievements is, sadly, Paul Kagame is a tribal-supremacist dictator masquerading as a democrat who brooks no opposition and allegedly murders those bold enough to oppose him publicly.
It is unfortunate that African leaders have failed to force him to end his meddling in eastern DR Congo by imposing sanctions on his country – by banning Rwandan exports and imports through all East Africa sea ports. They must do so now, and Belgium must ignore the nonsense that criticising Rwanda for the suffering in eastern DR Congo is neocolonialist interference. Belgium should organise an EU ban on aid to Rwanda and impose sanctions on Kagame and leading members of his regime to end the war in eastern DR Congo. Enough is enough!
