The Afia Kobi Ampem Girls Senior High School has once again demonstrated their creative abilities by developing an Unmanned Aerial Combat Space Plane for the Ghana Air Force.

The Space Plane, named 'GAF Josephine', was designed and developed by the school's Engineering Department to enhance the Ghana Air Force's security operations.

Led by Engineer Ferdinand Sam, a tutor at the school, the Engineering Department presented their innovative craft to officials of the Ghana Air Force at their headquarters in Accra.

During the presentation, the Air Force officials provided a platform for the engineering team to test the Aerial Space Plane.

Speaking to this reporter after the presentation, Engineer Sam explained that the team was motivated by the growing need for modern security equipment.

He emphasized that the machine will enable the Air Force to operate more efficiently.

Engineer Sam also noted that the school has developed various security equipment for Ghana and looks forward to collaborating with state authorities to make these innovations a reality.

About the Project
The GAF Josephine, an unmanned aerial vehicle, has been designed with advanced features and capabilities, making it a valuable asset for various applications.

Equipped with sensors, the vehicle can be used for intelligence gathering, surveillance, and reconnaissance, providing critical information to ground control for informed decision-making during operations.

The GAF Josephine can also be utilized for payload delivery, transporting supplies such as food, medicine, and other essential items weighing up to 15 kilograms. Its impressive features include:

- Wingspan: 6.2 meters
- Length: 5.2 meters
- Height: 2 meters
- Empty Take-Off Weight: 54kg
- Payload Capacity: 15kg
- Powerplant: 4x 5065 brushless motors / 2x 100cc gasoline engine

- Range: 150km +
- Endurance: 12hours +
- Armament: 6 weapons stations
The GHF Josephine's applications are diverse, including:

1. Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR)

2. Payload Delivery
3. Search and Rescue (SAR)
4. Attack missions
