Coca-Cola is one of the most popular brands around the world. Many people can't be without it. The ingredients: water, too much sugar, and brown syrup. Chocolate is far more complex and healthier (dark chocolate). Red Bull is an energy drink known worldwide wide. Ingredients: water, taurin, coffin, and other unhealthy substances. Both brands run a fairytale strategy brainwashing consumer minds, hearts, and souls. The managers sit in white men's offices in Europe or the USA. Based on simple "worthless" products their strategies created an economic universe. It seems: that matters more than the product itself.
The Americans redefined a thousand years old fighting traditions, and blew it up to unbelievable proportions to franchise it out to the world; and many people fall into the trap...Wrestling. Singapore Airlines created the "Singapore Girl" and South Korea K-pop through which sells the country to tourists and investors.
The products of the white man are sold in e.g. Africa and the campaigns come from their lands. Africans fall for them rushing to buy the brands of the white man. Their local products and services come in second place.
Ideas come for free no academic title or big money needed.
campaigns of e.g. African banks and telephone providers let consumers fall asleep before the TV set. Using them 1:1 in the Western World would never work; a waste of money. Critical observers wonder about the lack of creativity in African advertising campaigns and the "creative" brains behind it.
African countries allow the white man to use their countries to be exploited especially for natural resources like precious minerals. Successful is the understanding of the target market with a great story behind it regardless of the value of the product and service. Consumers love to hear, read, and see a fantastic story unique to its product; and continent. The rest is money for advertisement campaigns. When African raw products reach the world of the white man he runs in his territory great campaigns even using them on the African continent; perverse (this term means originally confused or the opposite).
Africa has unique products like cocoa or coffee, gold, and diamonds. Instead of using them (or other products) and run creative campaigns in the world of the white man to create a market and make a mark in it they rather allow the white man to dominate the field of overseas and local success.
The profit margin in Africa is smaller than in the Western world. It makes no sense not to take the bigger profit margin from the white consumers in their home base. African countries complain the white man does business activities in Africa and takes the profit home. Africa should copy this successful model and enter the market of the white man to well feed their people back home. Anything different does not make sense.
