How Does Anybody “Investigate” an Unarguable Historical Fact and Truth?

How Does Anybody “Investigate” an Unarguable Historical Fact and Truth?

Following the recent parliamentary ruckus that made the banner news headlines across the globe, and which put an unflattering question mark before the civility and the integrity of Ghana’s Fourth Republican Democratic Culture, some of the usual LSD-addicted apparatchiks of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) have decided to focus their attention on the at once most puerile and inconsequential aspect of the recent to-do that erupted on the Parliamentary Appointments Committee and, instead, rather obtusely attempted to intimidate their main political opponents of the recently ousted New Patriotic Party.

In the main, the patently pedestrian subject has to do with the fact of whether any bona fide Ghanaian citizen, irrespective of class or station in life, has the free-speech right, an inalienable tenet of Ghana’s 1992 Republican Constitution, to call a spade a spade without having his/her moral and psychological faculties impugned by his/her political opponents or ideological foes and adversaries. In this specific instance, the question has to do with the fact of whether anybody reserves the right to essentially repeat what Ghana’s longest-ruling and most extortionate junta leader, namely, the late Chairman, later President, Jeremiah “Jerry” John Rawlings publicly identified himself to be or to have been, which was the “Revolutionary Butcher” of the topmost leadership of the erstwhile junta of the Generals I. K, Acheampong and the F. W. K. Akuffo-led Supreme Military Council (SMC-1 & SMC-2).

Then also, as forensically proven by the members of the blue-ribbon Azu-Crabbe Commission, also known as the Special Investigations Board (SIB), that was established under relentless pressure from the International Community, largely the Western-European Powers and the United States of America, it was the then Chairman Rawlings, acting through instructions issued to his blood relative and National Security Adviser, the late Capt (Ret) Kojo Tsikata, a President Kwame Nkrumah-cashiered and dishonorably discharged junior officer of the Ghana Armed Forces, who ordered the Mafia-style abduction and the summary execution of the Three Akan-Descended Accra High Court Judges whose statuary busts or statuettes are presently mounted in the forecourt of the edifice of the Supreme Court of Ghana, in Accra, even as Yours Truly composes this brief rejoinder, the second of its kind, on this otherwise patently and decidedly pedestrian and an indisputable fact of one of the most barbaric and inglorious moments in postcolonial Ghanaian history.

The “Mafia-style” summarily executed Accra High Court JUdges, namely, Justices Cecilia Koranteng-Addow - a lactating mother whose husband, Dr. Gustav Koranteng-Addow, had once been an Appeals Court Judge and Attorney-General and Minister/Commissioner of Justice under the Acheampong junta; Kwadwo Agyei Agyepong, and Frederick Poku-Sarkodie, a Justice of the Supreme Court under the government of the Nkrumah-led Convention People’s Party (CPP).

In short, there is more than ample evidence that points to the extra-judicial and the coldly calculated assassinations of distinguished and illustrious Ghanaian citizens without the civilized application of due process, as it is to be expected in any morally and politically enlightened postcolonial nation-state, even in cases where Republican or Democratic Constitutions have been summarily suspended, as was the case with the Chairman Rawlings-led junta of the Provisional National Defense Council (PNDC), under whose watch and tenure the aforementioned Accra High Court Judges had been abducted from the sanctums of their residences and summarily executed, with their mortal remains being deliberately torched by their executioners with flammable automobile fuel or petroleum, for good measure, it well appeared.

Time, however, does not permit Yours Truly to systematically and painstakingly document or cite some of the innumerable instances and circumstances under which scores and hundreds of innocent Ghanaian citizens lost their lives in the spurious name of “Revolutionary Probity, Accountability, Transparency and Justice.” Which is why it constitutes absolutely nothing short of immitigable contempt to hear the fanatical and psychological basket cases like Mr. Benjamin Neequaye Kotey, described as the National Democratic Congress’ Constituency Chairman for Korle-Klottey Parliamentary District, in the Greater-Accra Region, not only despicable call for the New Patriotic Party’s Member of Parliament who is alleged to have all too righteously called out Dr. Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings, the “Hijacking” Member of Parliament for the Korle-Klottey Constituency, for simply and baldly calling a spade by its universally accepted name and designation.

That Chairman Rawlings had, in a simulcast at the time, vehemently denied having had anything to do with the barbaric assassination of the Three Akan-Descended Accra HIgh Court Judges, absolutely in no way negates or nullifies the forensically unarguable findings of the Justice Samuel Azu-Crabbe-Chaired Special Investigations Board (SIB) Report. Neither did the scapegoating of the Amedeka Gang of the Rawlings-Tsikata Contracted Executioners of the Accra High Court Judges and the Retired Officer of the Ghana Armed Forces, Major Samuel “Sam” Acquah, exculpate the Rawlings-Tsikata Diarchy of the Anlo-Ewe Trokosi Nationalist Mafia Butchers from the bloody fruits of their handicraft or cultivation.

Equally downright preposterous is the idea that, somehow, the prime beneficiaries of the wanton atrocities of the Rawlings-Tsikata Reign-of-Terror ought to be blindly celebrated and, in fact, honored and lavishly decorated for crimes which continue to immensely regress the physical, psychological, moral, emotional and the intellectual development of the Ghanaian people. In Shakespearean parlance, so indelible are the crimes committed by the parents of the Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlingses of Ghana and their equally morally depraved associates and cronies, “Incarnadine,” that absolutely no amount of systematically calculated propagandistic mendacity is apt to erase them from the collective memory of the Ghanaian people.

Those National Democratic Congress’ political machine operatives who appear to be luridly and opportunistically hellbent on preventing the adult children and the grandchildren of the terror-sponsoring founders and leaders of the National Democratic Congress, are actually victimizing the Zanetors, the Yaa Asantewaas and the Aminas of the Rawlings-Tsikata Clan. A strategically savvy Dr. Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings would be much better off pleading for forgiveness than falsely pretending as if the so-called Rawlings Revolution was about anything except what it really was about, namely. Anti-Akan Ethnic Cleansing and morally unwarranted “redistribution” of our national wealth and resources.

As for the question of how Dr. Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings became a Member of Parliament for Korle-Klottey Constituency, without even being a dues-paying member of the National Democratic Congress, we leave that to “Lt-Col.” Johnson “The Mosquito” Asiedu-Nketia and Monsieur Godwin Edudzi-Tamakloe.
