The Ghana National Tailors and Dressmakers Association (GNTDA) has extended its presence in the Volta Region with the inauguration of its Branch 'B' in Agortime Kpetoe.
The ceremony, held on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at the E.P. JHS School, marked a significant milestone in the association's growth.
The Regional Chairman of GNTDA, Volta, expressed gratitude to members for their dedication and hard work, stating that the establishment of the new branch reflects the association’s continuous expansion and strength. He encouraged members to remain committed to upholding the image of the association and contributing to its development.
During the event, newly elected executives of Branch 'B' were sworn into office. Mr. Charles Tretsu took the oath as Chairman, with Ms. Elizabeth Denu as Vice Chairman. Other executives include Ms. Precious Ahorto as Secretary, Ms. Rejoice Gomli as Examination Coordinator, and Ms. Gifty Dzakobo as Financial Secretary.
Dr. Hallo, the special guest and Chairperson for the occasion, commended the association for its efforts in promoting the tailoring and dressmaking profession. He urged members to continue training and mentoring young people, inspiring them to pursue the craft with passion and determination.
The ceremony also featured the graduation of six apprentices. Addressing the graduates, Chairman Charles Tretsu advised them to remain dedicated to their work and approach their profession with enthusiasm and commitment.
The inauguration of GNTDA Branch 'B' is expected to further enhance the association’s impact and expansion in the region. With the newly appointed executives in place, the branch is set to play a vital role in strengthening the tailoring and dressmaking industry in Agortime Kpetoe and beyond.
