Dr. Kwaku Oteng, President and Founder of the Angel Group of Companies, has built a thriving business empire from humble beginnings.
In an interview with Saddick Adams on Angel FM, Dr. Oteng shared how his journey started far from corporate boardrooms. During the 1990s, he worked as a carpenter, crafting furniture such as wardrobes, room dividers, and beds. However, in 1995, he ventured into business with the creation of Angel Cream.
With just a three-member team—including his wife and an adopted child—he worked tirelessly to produce and sell the cream, often going door-to-door to market the product. What began as a small-scale operation gradually grew into one of Ghana’s most popular skincare brands.
Through hard work and perseverance, Dr. Oteng expanded beyond cosmetics, transforming Angel Group into a major business conglomerate. His businesses now span multiple industries, including broadcasting, transport, construction, mineral water production, and alcoholic beverages under brands such as Angel Broadcasting Services, Angel Transport and Trading, Angel Estate and Construction, Angel Natural Mineral Water, and Adonko Bitters.
His story is a testament to resilience, innovation, and the power of entrepreneurship.
