The command had the power to give peaceful direction. Don’t look back. Don’t stop anywhere. Flee to the mountain. The meaning is simply to keep going forward without trading off your faith. The word of God encourages us to keep moving forward without paying attention to human, but God alone. In 1 Kings 13;17-22. A prophet was advised with the same command, ‘You must not eat bread. You must not drink water there. You must not return the way you came. You must not stop on the way. You must go forward to end your mission.
One old prophet schemed to deceive him unto death. “I too am a prophet, as you are. And an angel said to me by the word of the Lord: ‘Bring him back with you to your house so that he may eat bread and drink water. But he was lying to him. So, the man of God returned with him and ate and drank in his house. And he died on the way. You came back and ate bread and drank water in the place where he told you not to eat or drink. Therefore, your body will not be buried in the tomb of your ancestors.
- Do not let anyone deceive you. Do not let anyone destroy your hope, peace and faith. Or you will be swept away. Do not look back at others. Do not let circumstances destroy your hope, peace and faith. Or you will be swept away.
- Do not pay attention to any distractions. Do not let any crisis or fear destroy your hope, peace and faith. Or you will be swept away. Do not do as others are doing. Or you will be swept away.
- Do not get stopped by the actions and reactions of others. Or you will be swept away. Do not look at humans. Or you will also be swept away.
- Look unto God. Believe in Jesus not man. And you will be saved. According to Psalms 145:9, 15, 16. The Lord is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works. All eyes wait upon him; and he gives them their satisfaction in due season. He opens his hand and satisfies the desire of every living thing.
- Do not lose faith in joining the masses. Do not bargain, or waive your faith, love, belief, understanding. Don’t fear any fear.
- Do not shrink your faith. Hebrews 10;38-39. We are not like those who shrink their faith. With this Peter advised, be vigilant. Be sober.1 Peter 5;8. Your enemy is anxiously looking to destroy you. The Lord encouraged us this way, rejoice that your name is written in heaven.
- Do not worry about anything for your father knows your situation and everything you are going through. Let his will be done.
- Keep the faith and keep living forward. You will soon add your name to the list of the faithful believers in Hebrews 11. Let all your focus be on God and Jesus and surely goodness and mercy shall follow you all the days of your life.
GOD BLESS YOU.
