TUE, 18 FEB 2025

A new survey by Global InfoAnalytics has revealed that 54% of Ghanaians believe their standard of living has improved over the past year, while 30% say it has remained unchanged and 10% report a decline.

When asked about their outlook for the future, an overwhelming 70% expressed optimism that their living conditions would improve within the next 12 months. This marks the highest level of optimism recorded since polling began in January 2022.

“The highest optimism recorded since polling started,” the survey noted, pointing to a growing confidence in the nation’s economic trajectory.

However, 16% of respondents remain doubtful about future improvements, while 14% had no opinion.

Beyond personal living standards, the poll also gauged public sentiment on the country’s overall direction. A significant 74% of Ghanaians now believe the nation is on the right track—a sharp rise from November 2024, when only 29% shared that view.

The poll, conducted between January 27 and February 16, 2025, reflects a surge in confidence following President John Dramani Mahama’s assumption of office.
