I will provide motivation packages for public school teachers in Okaikwei South — Ernest Adomako

The Member of Parliament for Okaikwei South, Ernest Adomako, has pledged to support public school teachers in the constituency with motivation packages to enhance education outcomes.

The lawmaker, who is serving his first term on the ticket of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), said the initiative aims to encourage teachers to give their best for the benefit of students.

Speaking at the launch of his GHS79.5 million public schools renovation project at Bubiashie on Monday, February 17, Mr. Adomako emphasized the importance of teacher motivation in achieving quality education.

“The initiative includes motivation packages for teachers because an empowered and encouraged teacher produces outstanding students. Every teacher deserves the tools and resources to inspire and educate,” he stated.

The GHS79.5 million project, dubbed the Public Schools Renovation Project, seeks to improve the learning environment for over 8,000 students and 350 teachers by renovating the infrastructure of 20 public schools.

The initiative, spearheaded by the Adomako Dream Project in collaboration with the Ga Mantse Foundation, will begin with the renovation of Bishop School in Bubiashie.

Other beneficiary schools include Awudome Cluster, Police Depot Cluster, Kingsway Cluster, Kaneshie North, Kaneshie 1 Compound, Kaneshie Methodist Cluster, Rev. Thomas Clegg, St. Joseph Anglican, Bishop Boys, Cable & Wireless Cluster, and Bubiashie 1 & 2.

The project will cover painting and beautification of buildings, installation of secure fencing, replacement of outdated furniture, and the establishment of well-stocked libraries and ICT centers.

To further enhance students’ learning experiences, the initiative will incorporate agricultural activities, including gardening and livestock programs.
