The Ashanti Regional Minister, Frank Amoakohene, has noted that the Regional Coordinating Council will work with the Ghana Police Service to ensure peace and security in the region.

He made the remark in a meeting with the new Ashanti Regional Police Commander, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCOP), Teye Cudjoe in Kumasi last Wednesday.

He said peace and security play critical roles in ensuring socio-economic development and expressed confidence in the new Police Commander to uphold high professional standards.

“We are committed to maintaining stability and fostering a safe environment for all residents and businesses in the Ashanti Region,” he stated.

On his part, DCOP Cudjoe assured the Minister that the Police Service would do its best to ensure public safety.
