Kumasi: 29-year-old MoMo vendor killed in daylight robbery at Krofrom

A Mobile Money vendor, Nimaako Patricia, has tragically been shot dead by two armed robbers in Kumasi-Krofrom, Ashanti Region, on Thursday, February 13, 2025, around 2 p.m.

Reports indicate that the assailants, who had been waiting on a motorbike, attacked Patricia and shot her.

Eyewitnesses heard gunshots and rushed to assist, but the robbers fired another warning shot, dispersing the crowd. The attackers then took the money from Patricia and fled the scene on the motorbike.

Despite efforts from witnesses to rush Patricia to the Manhyia Government Hospital, she was later pronounced dead by doctors.

The community is shaken by the incident, with many expressing their sorrow and condolences to the victim's family.

Authorities have not yet launched an official investigation, but the attack has raised serious concerns about the safety of mobile money vendors and the security of the community as a whole.
