Banda’s son for court today

28-year-old Khalim Banda, son of aviation and shipping magnate, Alhaji Asuma Banda will today appear before an Accra circuit court.

Joy News has learnt that he will be facing charges of threat of death and possession of fire arms.

Khalim was picked up by officers from the Violent Crime Unit of the Ghana Police Service on Tuesday for his alleged involvement in a shooting incident at an Accra night club over the weekend.

He is said to have stormed the Office, a pub in Accra and threatened to kill a businessman, Kiki Banson and popular radio presenter, Kofi Okyere Darko of Radio Gold amid firing of gunshots.

The Deputy Director General of the Criminal Investigations Department, Patrick Timbilla on Tuesday told Joy News Khalim's case is being treated as a second degree felony.
