Korle Bu Teaching Hospital (KBTH) in the Greater Accra Region has announced a temporary six-week halt on the acceptance of new bodies and Brought-in-Dead (BID) cases as it undergoes renovations to its cold room facilities.
Management stated that this upgrade is intended to enhance service delivery. However, this limitation does not apply to cases that originate from the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.
Families of the deceased whose relatives have been in the mortuary for three to six weeks or longer are encouraged to arrange for burial or transfer to another facility as soon as possible.
“We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your cooperation as we work to enhance our services,” the statement added.
