The Fight Against Corruption; NDC Appointtees And Their Industrious Wives

After accusing Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and all appointtees of his administration of being corrupt, stealing State lands and acquiring ill-wealth, you go before a Parliamentary Vetting Committee to tell the whole world that it's your wives that are taking care of you, when questioned about your sources of personal income, as against your opulent lifestyles.

So far, it has come to light that about 99.99% of John Dramani Mahama ministerial appointtees that have appeared before the the Appointment Committee live in multimillionaire-dollar mansions built on State's lands at Cantonments and other choicest enclaves of Accra, which which were dished out to them for pittance. These are bunch of characters who thrive on hate.

Big joke
This vetting process is a big joke because it's not holding anybody to account, and at the end of the day, all these highway robbers appearing before same, will all be given a clean bill of health to go and continue perpetrating their acts of obnoxious criminality against the State. For the next 4years, Ghanaians must brace up for levels of corruption never witnessed anywhere on earth.

HE Nana Addo, to some extent, can be blamed for is his unflinching belief and reward for loyalty, and therefore chose not to dispense off, or reshuffle his appointtees, when the need be. And this is why I have always blamed the key appointtees and inner circles of Nana Addo for tarnishing the image of his administration. But when it comes to graft, all accusations heaped on him were untrue.

Ill-wealth
The ill-wealth members of PNDC piled up since 1981 till the year 2000, and handed the button to these babies with metallic teeth in 2009 under Atta-Mills, that had never had jobs before but now owners of numerous filling stations; multimillionaire dollar mansions both home and abroad; but now turned round to claim they're being taken care-of by their wives, tells you we're joking.

We even had a ministerial nominee proclaimed before the whole world that his levelling of corruption against Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, were made during the periods he(the accuser) had fallen into a trance of divinity. And such a demented pronouncement was not struck down by the Vetting Committee, but was allowed to be captured into official parliamentary records.

Sour taste
For me, my dear brother and friend Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa left a sour taste in my mouth, when after incessant calls on him as to whether he would be prepared to travel Economy Class as a Foreign Minister, but stuck to his guns never to do so, and that, even if it becomes his government's policy, he, from his private pockets, would top it up to enable him travel Business Class.

For him to be preaching frugality in public office for the past 8years of NPP administration, but now turn round to put up a posture of not being ready to live by same, to say the least, left me egregiously discombobulated. Okudzeto-Ablakwa, whom I know would do a good job in his Foreign Minister portfolio, was disappointing in the light of his advocacy.

Nation-building
Nation-building revolves around the fulcrum of HONESTY, CONSISTENCY and TRUTH. Telling lies and putting up pretencial image of divinity with expressed purpose of gaining political power will never make us progress but rather confine us to this cyclical scenario of shadowboxing in dark alleyways. We hoodwink Ghanaians for political power, and do worse of what we accuse others of.

I have been around for awhile, and I know these P(NDC) elements very well. It is for this reason that I keep telling Ghanaians to lower their expectations of this second-coming of John Mahama; the man has absolutely nothing to offer, and there is absolutely nothing new in respect of those he has so far chosen to help him govern. The realities will hit Ghanaians in the face, by June this year.

Industrious wives

AND SINCE YOUR WIVES CANNOT BE QUESTIONED, YOU END UP SCOT-FREE.
