Odamtten for God, Party and Country; a pursuit of selfless patriotism

In a time of increasing political disillusionment, it is refreshing to encounter a public servant who truly embodies the spirit of dedicated representation. Hon. Isaac Nii Ashai Odamtten, the esteemed Member of Parliament for Tema East, stands as a beacon of hope, consistently demonstrating a commitment to the betterment of his constituents, the Akatamansonian family and the nation as a whole.

He first made his mark as an undisputed trailblazer when he managed to break the 24-year losing streak of the NDC and the NPP's stranglehold in the Tema East constituency. For the first time since 1992, Hon. Odamtten won Tema East for the NDC with an impressive vote margin of 9433. As if this was not enough, he incredibly consolidated the party's gains further by increasing the margin of votes from his initial 9433 to over 14,150 in the recent 2024 parliamentary elections!

Leadership and Management Expertise
Hon. Odamtten's leadership qualities are undeniable. During his tenure as Tema Metropolitan Chief Executive, he led the Tema Metropolitan Assembly to be adjudged the best District in Ghana for 2014 and 2016, and the runner up in 2015 out of 216 Districts in the District League Table (DLT) by the United Nations International Children Emergency Fund (UNICEF) and Center for Democratic Governance (CDD). All 216 assemblies in Ghana were assessed on all five key thematic areas including Health, Sanitation, Commercial infrastructure, Education and road infrastructure. This achievement is a testament to his ability to effectively manage teams and achieve ambitious goals. His experience extends beyond Ghana, as he has fostered partnerships with cities around the world, including Columbia, Maryland, USA, Durban, South Africa, and Israel. This global perspective would be invaluable in a higher public office.

Coupled with the above, Hon. Ashai Odamtten's experience as a Member of Parliament for the Tema East Constituency has equipped him with a deep understanding of public policy. Hon. Isaac Nii Ashai Odamtten was awarded a Bachelor of Commence (B-Com) degree from the University of Cape Coast after obtaining a 3-year Post Secondary Certificate in Education from Ada Training College. He also holds a Post Graduate Certificate in Project Management from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA), an MBA (Accounting) from the University of Ghana Business School and a Master of Practical Theology, (MPT) from Oral Robert University, USA. Suffice it to say that he is a self-motivated team-player and a team-leader who has vast working experience in both private and public sectors. He is a first-class Public Servant with vast experience in Management, Accounting, Banking, Finance, Leadership, Local Governance, Value chain management, SME development and capacity building as well as Youth empowerment. His entry into public service came after a very rewarding and successful career in International Commercial Bank Ltd as Senior Manager (Corporate Services) Head of Finance, and Deputy Municipal Accountant/Bursar at the Tema Municipal Education Office.

Hon. Odamtten is a proven leader with the experience, skills, and dedication necessary to excel in a higher public office. His commitment to public service, his leadership abilities, and his deep understanding of public policy make him an invaluable asset that should not be missed.
