
A former Deputy Education Minister, Rev. John Ntim Fordjour is backing new Education Minister Haruna Iddrisu to succeed in the role.
According to him, all that is required is for President John Dramani Mahama to support the new Minister so he can excel in the role.
“I have every confidence that Haruna Iddrisu, with the right support from President Mahama, will be successful as Education Minister,” Rev. John Ntim Fordjour who is Member of Parliament for Assin South told GHOne TV in an interview.
Having been vetted by the Appointment Committee on Monday, January 20, Haruna Iddrisu has been approved by Parliament to serve as Minister in charge of the country’s Education.
Although many have expressed confidence in the Tamale South MP's competency to succeed, he has been advised to be cautious due to the high expectation that comes with the office.
At his vetting, Haruna Iddrisu assured of his commitment to do his best as Education Minister.
He noted that together with President John Dramani Mahama’s government, there will be infrastructure development that will complement existing ones to boost education in the country.
