Member of Parliament for Ningo-Prampram and Minister-Designate for Communication, Digital Technology, and Innovations, Samuel Nartey George, has pledged to work to the satisfaction of Ghanaians.
Sam George further promised to undertake a reset of the sector to position Ghana as the leader of digital technology.
“I pledge myself to discharge this duty to the satisfaction of the Ghanaian people and admiration of His Excellency,” the minister-designate wrote in a post on X on Wednesday, January 22.
“Subject to the required Parliamentary approval, I commit to undertake a reset of our communications sector and position Ghana once again as a leader in digital technology that serves the people of Ghana,” added the lawmaker.
He expressed willingness to utilize constructive feedback to enable him to achieve the necessary changes and introduce the needed innovation into the sector.
The President submitted his third batch of ministerial appointments to Parliament on Tuesday, January 21, for prior approval to serve as Ministers of State and Regional Ministers.
Notable among them include Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa for the Foreign Affairs Ministry, Dr. Edward Kofi Omane Boamah for the Ministry of Defence, Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah for the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources, Kwabena Mintah Akandoh for the Ministry of Health and Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed for the Ministry of Environment, Science.
Buem MP Kofi Iddie Adams was also named as Minister for Sports and Recreation, while Joseph Bukari Nikpe has been nominated for the Ministry of Transport.
