President John Dramani Mahama will begin a nationwide thank-you tour following his victory in the 2024 elections, starting from the Volta Region on Friday, January 24.
A statement signed by Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Acting Presidential Spokesperson, and dated January 22, announced this.
“The Presidency is pleased to announce that President John Dramani Mahama will visit the Volta Region this Friday as the first stop of a planned nationwide Thank You Tour,” it reads in part.
It adds, “The tour will enable the President to express his sincere appreciation to the people of Ghana for the overwhelming support and trust reposed in him during the 2024 elections.”
During the tour, the President will be welcomed with a grand durbar of chiefs, queen mothers, opinion leaders, religious leaders, members of various labor unions, and key representatives from the informal sector.
This, the Presidency says, will aim to solidify the bond between the President and the citizens while celebrating their vital contributions to the nation.
