Assembly to spend ¢7bn on dev’t projects

The Ahafo-Ano South District Assembly will this year release over seven billion cedis from its internally generated revenue and common fund for development programmes and projects in the area.

The projects and programmes would seek to improve health, education, security, agriculture, the National Youth Employment
Programme, sanitation and to prevent the spread of HIV/AIDS among others.

The District Chief Executive of the area, Mr. Kwaku Obeng Boateng, announced at the second ordinary meeting of the assembly at Mankranso on Tuesday.

He called on the assembly members to educate the people on the need to regularly and promptly pay the taxes to enable the assembly get more funds for development projects.

Mr. Boateng commended members of the assembly for their contributions towards the development of the area.
