President John Dramani Mahama has appointed Seth Emmanuel Terkper as Presidential Advisor on the Economy and Shamima Muslim as Deputy Presidential Spokesperson, effective January 21, 2025.
Seth Terkper, who previously served as Minister for Finance and Economic Planning from 2013 to 2017, brings extensive experience in fiscal policy and economic management to his new advisory role.
Shamima Muslim, a seasoned media professional, will assist in managing the President’s communications as Deputy Presidential Spokesperson.
Other notable appointments include Mrs. Joyce Bawah Mogtari as Presidential Advisor & Special Aide to the President, Stanislav Xoese Dogbe as Deputy Chief of Staff (Operations) and Nana Oye Bampoe Addo as Deputy Chief of Staff (Administration).
These appointments are part of a broader strategy to enhance governance and operational efficiency within the Presidency.
In a statement, Acting Spokesperson Felix Kwakye Ofosu conveyed the President’s confidence in the new appointees, stating that they will “bring their expertise and dedication to their respective roles, contributing to the progress and development of the nation.”
