General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Justin Kodua Frimpong has downplayed claims by some party members and Ghanaians that he has been a soft executive of the party since his election.

Speaking in an exclusive interview on OTEC FM’s afternoon political talkshow, Lawyer Frimpong Kodua explained that in the records of the party, he has been the only General Secretary faced with the most by-elections and various challenges.

According to him, there were issues and grievances within the party during their internal elections and he had to travel across the country to make amends and foster unity.

"I would not take that tag from anyone that I am weak. I have performed well and you can go to every constituency in the country and ask, they will give you evidence. I have the track record," he told the host of 'Dwabrem' Prince Nii Ade (Dok Cash).

Lawyer Justin Kodua however urged all party supporters not to lose hope but accept their defeat in good fate, stop the blame games and work hard for the party’s progress going forward.
