Dr. Frank Amoakohene, the Ashanti Regional Minister-designate, has assured the people of the Ashanti Region that they will receive an equitable portion of national development projects.
This commitment was emphasized following President John Dramani Mahama’s recent visit to the region.
In a statement shared on Sunday, January 19, Dr. Amoakohene expressed gratitude to the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, and the entire Asanteman for the warm reception given to the President during the Akwasidae Festival.
He highlighted the President’s dedication to the region, stating, “As His Excellency reiterated during his visit, the Ashanti Region shall receive its fair share of the national cake, with a renewed commitment to commence work on all stalled projects in the region.”
Dr. Amoakohene further conveyed appreciation to the residents of the Ashanti Region for their hospitality and support, adding, “Together, we shall work towards a brighter and more prosperous future for the region and the nation.”
The Akwasidae Festival, celebrated at the Manhyia Palace, showcased the rich culture and heritage of Asanteman.
