SUN, 19 JAN 2025 1

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has interdicted three staff members of Tsito Senior High Technical School (SHTS) following the circulation of a viral video implicating a taxi driver and the school’s bus driver in an alleged scheme to hoard food supplies meant for students.

The announcement was made on the official GES Facebook page on Saturday, January 18, 2025.

According to the statement, “Rev. Joy Kafui Akpebu, Headmaster of Tsito Senior High Technical School; Sylvanus Awunyo, Storekeeper; and Samuel Kwame Ampeh, Driver, have been interdicted pending an investigation into the alleged diversion of 100 cartons of tin tomatoes intended for student meals in the Volta Region.”

The GES further explained that the action was taken in line with Section 8, Clauses (i-v) of the Ghana Education Service Code of Conduct, which allows for the interdiction of staff members who might interfere with an ongoing investigation.
