The former government led by Nana Akufo Addo thought they've cleaned their back by packing state institutions with their cronies who would frustrate processes against them when they're out of office.
It appears the new government want to create tribunals as vehicles that will provide appropriate justice to all who may come before the tribunals, that is what creating the trepidation in the camp of the former government.
The diabolic noise against ORAL is a mischievous strategy by the former government to escape accountability, hence the push to frustrate the policy and make it very unpopular and have it truncated.
It is very sad Nana Akufo Addo who won the 2016 general elections through the altar of protecting the public purse, rather it was mere flowering message of deceit which swayed most electorates to vote for him to be president. Unfortunately he superintend over a government that was the most corrupt in the annals of Ghana's history.
It was highly unconscionable to sell government bungalows which were occupied by seniors government officials to private developers. The equity theory requires the government to make appropriate provision of relocating the affected officials to an alternative accommodations which they refused to do. Most of the affected government officials were treated like common criminals and forcefully ejected when they were fast asleep and others, their bungalows were pulled down when they were out at work.
This callous treatments was sanction and supervised by some state actors whose hearts are made of stone, and do not care about the safety and welfare of the affected officials.
The modus operandi of the New Patriotic Party government was a deliberate plan of running down state institutions and have the state assets transferred to their cronies, especially leased out the lands appropriated from the rundown organizations to private developers for profit.
Despite the dastardly manner in which government lands were allocated to the beneficiaries in secrecy, these cohorts of the NPP are not remorseful with their inordinate actions, rather chose to spite the new government.
Nana Akufo Addo who claimed he would protect the public purse, after uninterrupted eight solid years as president, disgracefully supervised the worst corruption in all sectors of the economy.
Based on the level of crime Nana Akufo Addo and the New Patriotic Party did perpetrate on Ghanaians is what's fueling the trepidation being exhibited by the adherents of the former government.
