The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has urged its executives and party members to desist from conducting independent reviews and investigations into the party’s performance in the 2024 general elections.
The party emphasized that such efforts risk duplicating the work of the officially mandated 2024 Election Review Committee.
In a statement dated January 17, 2025, and signed by William Yamoah, Secretary of the 2024 Election Review Committee, the NPP reminded all members that the committee was established by the National Council on January 2, 2025, as the sole body authorized to conduct a nationwide review of all election-related activities.
“We respectfully advise that all regional and constituency executive committees, groups, or persons cease all regional-level investigations into D-Day operations and all other election-related matters to avoid conflicts with the mandate of the 2024 Election Review Committee,” the statement read in part.
The party warned that unauthorized reviews could lead to inconsistency in findings, duplication of efforts, and potential misinterpretations.
Instead, it urged all stakeholders to channel their feedback and recommendations through the proper structures established by the committee.
“By adhering to the established structures, we can maintain party discipline and avoid potential misinterpretations of intent or authority at any level,” the statement noted.
The NPP also encouraged individuals and groups to provide thoughtful recommendations and memoranda to the committee to enhance its work.
It reassured members of the committee’s transparency and commitment to delivering actionable recommendations for the party’s future success.
This call comes as the party grapples with the aftermath of the 2024 elections and seeks to evaluate its performance to chart a path forward.

So strange that this foolhardyly proud npp needs a committee to probe it's obvious election defeat. Why and dishonest they are to themselves? They better start by learning how to govern in humility and truth not by lies and fraud to earn some credibility as a party
