Kwamena Duncan, a former Central Regional Minister, has criticized the actions of Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, the Member of Parliament for North Tongu, retired Commissioner of Police Kofi Boakye, and other members of the Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) task force.
ORAL, a key initiative under President John Dramani Mahama’s anti-corruption agenda, is tasked with validating corruption cases, particularly those involving officials of the previous Akufo-Addo administration.
Its mandate includes recovering looted state assets and ensuring the prosecution of offenders.
Since its establishment, ORAL has made headlines with high-profile visits to lands and properties alleged to be state-owned but captured by private individuals. The team has also accused several people of corrupt practices.
Speaking on Peace FM’s Kokrokoo morning show, Kwamena Duncan expressed strong reservations about the team’s approach.
He cautioned ORAL members, emphasizing that their time in office is limited and advised them to tread carefully in their work.
“Four years is not ten years. Four years will come, and you won’t even see it,” Duncan remarked.
