Alexander Akwasi Acquah, Member of Parliament for Akyem Odaa, has challenged the NDC government to broaden its anti-corruption fight, arguing that past NDC administrations should also be investigated for wrongdoing.
In an exclusive interview with Captain Koda on OTEC 102.9 FM's morning show 'Nyansapo', Acquah questioned the NDC government's focus on the past NPP administration, suggesting that this approach may be selective and biased.
His comments comes following the establishment of an anti-corruption team, Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) to collect petitions and evidence about government appointmentees who allegedly looted state funds and properties.
The MP emphasized that true accountability demands a comprehensive probe, including past NDC governments.
"Why the double standard?" Acquah asked. "If we're serious about fighting corruption, we must be willing to examine our own past," he told the programme's Captain Koda
Acquah's call for equal scrutiny comes at a time when Ghanaians are increasingly demanding accountability from their leaders.
Many citizens feel that the government's anti-corruption efforts have been inconsistent and that some officials are being unfairly targeted.
By advocating for a more comprehensive approach to anti-corruption fight, Acquah hopes to promote a culture of transparency and accountability in Ghanaian politics.
"We need to ensure that everyone is held to the same standard, regardless of their party affiliation," he said.

The NPP can't sleep about ORAL because they have looted the country like how someone eats fish to its bare bone. If you are not a thief, why are you afraid of the police?
