Samuel Koku Anyidoho, Chief Executive Officer of the Atta Mills Institute, has addressed inquiries regarding his choice not to pursue a parliamentary career.

In a social media post on Friday, January 17, 2025, Anyidoho explained that his decision to remain outside Parliament underscores his commitment to his defined career trajectory and contributions to Ghana’s political discourse through avenues other than legislative representation.

“Many people have asked me why I didn’t go into Parliament. My answer: we all can’t be parliamentarians and I have a very clear idea what my career path is,” reads his post.

Koku Anyidoho has held several significant positions in Ghana’s political landscape.

He served as Head of Communications and Presidential Spokesperson under President John Evans Atta Mills from 2009 to 2012.

Following this role, he was appointed Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), serving from 2014 to 2018.

In 2018, Anyidoho established the Atta Mills Institute, focusing on promoting the late President Mills’ values and vision.
