Security analyst, Adam Bonaa has described the style of the NPP representatives on the Appointment Committee of Parliament during the vetting of Ministers as disgusting.
According to him, Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin must particularly adopt a cool-head approach and tone down.
Speaking to GHOne TV, Adam Bonaa raised concern about the temperament of the Minority Leader, arguing that it is the only thing being noticed at the vetting.
He advises Hon. Afenyo-Markin to change his approach and ensure his questions rather than his temperaments are noticed during the process.
“If the minority side is going to go this way, it becomes very difficult. This is not what we are paying our members of parliament to do. I have to be very honest. It is very disgusting. I was expecting cool heads. The chairman is in the chair, and everyone must pay attention to the chair. It is his show. Listen to him, and if you disagree, let the others talk.
“You will be given the opportunity to talk. I think the minority leader needs to up his game by toning down. Don’t want to be noticed let your questions be noticed. His temperament and others were noticed, not his questions,” Adam Bonaa said.
The vetting of President John Dramani Mahama’s first bath of appointees commenced on Monday, January 13.
All three Ministerial designates including Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, John Abdulai Jinapor, and Dominic Ayine have faced the committee to answer various questions.
