Former Deputy General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Obiri Boahen, has declared that he will decline any invitation to join a committee tasked with investigating the party's defeat in the 2024 general elections.

In an interview on Neat FM on January 10, 2025, Nana Obiri Boahen expressed his frustration with what he described as a lack of recognition and appreciation for his contributions to the party’s efforts.

Despite his dedication and active campaigning, he revealed that he was sidelined from the official campaign team, a treatment he has never forgotten.

"After doing all I could and supporting the team wholeheartedly, I wasn't even recognized or rewarded. I was sidelined from the campaign team, so it's not now that they will form a committee that I would like to join. If it were you, would you go?" he questioned.

Nana Obiri Boahen reaffirmed his love and loyalty to the NPP but made it clear that he felt undervalued.

“I started a massive campaign, but when they formed the campaign team, I was sidelined. I still love the party, and I remain a member, but I wish them well in their endeavors,” he stated.

His comments come amid growing calls within the party for introspection and restructuring following its loss in the 2024 elections.
