Yesterday January 7, 2025 marked a historic moment in the 9th Parliament of the Republic of Ghana as Honorable Eric Edem Agbana was sworn in as one of the youngest members of the august House. His election as the Member of Parliament for Ketu North is a clear testament to his unparalleled commitment, tireless hard work, sacrifice and unwavering dedication to humanity and youth empowerment.

Hon. Edem Agbana has consistently demonstrated an admirable attention to detail, coupled with a result-oriented approach that has earned him the trust and admiration of his followers, especially the youth. His go-getter spirit, smartness and human-centeredness are not just personal traits but crucial hallmarks of a rare leader who is determined to bring about transformative change.

Hon. Agbana’s passion for the youth and humanity in general is deeply ingrained in his leadership style. From his early days in student leadership and youth advocacy to his recent accomplishments, he has empirically shown an exceptional ability to easily connect with people, especially the younger generation, who see and regard him as a symbol of hope and progress. His way of doing things - marked by meticulous planning, innovativeness, and a listening ear - resonates profoundly with the aspirations of his constituents and admirers. They believe that his youthful energy, combined with his deep understanding of the challenges facing humanity, positions him as the ideal representative and advocate to champion their cause both in Ketu North and on the national stage.

As we celebrate this new dawn, it is imperative to acknowledge the incredible legacy of his predecessor, Honorable Dr. James Klutse Avedzi , who served the people of Ketu North with distinction for two decades. Dr. Avedzi’s five-term tenure was marked by remarkable achievements, including infrastructural development, educational advancements, enhanced social amenities, and individual assistance. His impeccable performance has paved the way for a seamless transition, and his guidance and mentorship will undoubtedly remain invaluable as Hon. Agbana steps into his big shoes.

The people of Ketu North are very hopeful that Hon. Agbana’s ascension will usher in a new era of innovative development, inclusivity, and ubiquitous progress. With his passion, vision, and youthful dynamism, there is every reason to believe that he will not only elevate the constituency but also contribute meaningfully to the growth and transformation of Ghana.

May his tenure in Parliament be divinely inspired, fruitful and impactful, and may he continue to inspire hope in the hearts of the YOUTH, his constituents and all Ghanaians.
