KAAF University distributes hampers to newborn babies on New Year’s Day

KAAF University, has distributed hampers to babies born on January 1 in selected hospitals within the Awutu Senya East and Gomoa East constituencies.

The hampers were presented to 100 mothers of newborns in the maternity wards, pediatric centers, and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at St. Gregory Catholic Hospital and the Mother and Child Hospital.

This initiative is part of the institution’s commitment to supporting newborns and making a significant difference in the lives of new mothers and their babies.

Each hamper contained essential items such as clothing, diapers, shawls, towels, powders, baby shampoos, and toiletries.

Mrs. Theresa Adusei Peasah Aidoo, Pro-Vice Chancellor of KAAF University, stated that the donation aimed to support newborns and mothers at hospitals where the institution’s students frequently undergo practical training.

“Since we train many students in science-related fields such as nursing, midwifery, and public health, and since most of our students undertake their practical training in these hospitals, we dedicated ourselves to visiting these institutions to celebrate the New Year with these newborn babies,” she said.

She added that the gesture was also intended to alleviate the financial burden associated with childbirth for the beneficiaries.

In interviews with some of the beneficiaries, they expressed gratitude to the institution and appealed for similar donations in the future to support others.
