Alhaji Osman Masawudu, the 3rd Vice Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has delivered a firm warning to the National Democratic Congress (NDC), urging them to cease what he described as a "violent posture" or face retaliation.

His remarks come amidst escalating tensions between the two political parties, with the NPP accusing the NDC of intimidation and violent conduct.

Speaking at a press conference, Alhaji Masawudu stated that while the NPP has remained peaceful and law-abiding, they would not tolerate continued aggression.

“We are peace-loving people, but we will not be intimidated,” he declared. “We have the men, we have the strength, and we will not be pushed around.”

Alhaji Masawudu's comments were particularly pointed, as he named specific regions—including the North-East, Northern, Bono, Upper East, Upper West, Western North, and Western regions—where he claimed the NDC has been engaging in acts of violence. He called on supporters in these areas to stand firm and protect their communities.

“I am calling on the men in these regions to come out and defend their people against any intimidation by the NDC,” he said.

In a statement that has drawn significant attention, Alhaji Masaudu suggested a readiness to respond forcefully if provoked. “Anyone who comes out with a gun, go home and bring out your guns,” he added, a remark that many have interpreted as a provocative call to arms.

The NPP Vice Chairman’s remarks underline the party's growing frustration with the NDC's actions, which they claim threaten the peace and stability of the nation.

“We cannot allow this to continue,” Alhaji Masawudu asserted, underscoring the NPP’s commitment to standing their ground while defending the country's democratic principles.

You have no brain because your government is lawless and only interested in corruption. If any NDC person is against the law, make your complaint to the police; you can't take the law into your own hands. You are calling for violence because you think that's the right thing to do; you will know the consequences of your action when you go to the American and British embassies and your visa is denied.
