Parliament will hold its next sitting at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) on Monday, December 16, 2024.
This will mark the commencement of the Seventh Meeting of the Fourth Session of the Eighth Parliament under the Fourth Republic of Ghana.
The announcement was made in a notice issued by the Speaker of Parliament, Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, on Wednesday, December 11.
He indicated that the decision to move the sitting to the Grand Arena was in line with a prior notice summoning Parliament.
“I, Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, Speaker of Parliament, do hereby appoint the Grand Arena, Accra International Conference Centre, as the place of the meeting,” the statement read.
It reiterated, “Pursuant to the notice dated 2nd December 2024 summoning Parliament, the Seventh Meeting will commence on December 16.”
Members of Parliament (MPs) are expected to deliberate on key matters of national interest, including the finalization of legislative business.
