#Election2024: Police beef up security to ensure collation of results in outstanding constituencies

The Ghana Police Service has enhanced security measures for the collation of four outstanding constituencies in the Eastern Region.

The four outstanding collations have been relocated to the National Police Training School (PTS) at Tesano in Accra.

According to a press release from the Ghana Police Service, collation of the results is currently ongoing with a fortified security presence of Police and military to ensure the safety and security of the process.

“One of the constituencies has been successfully completed, leaving three which collation processes are still ongoing as of now,” the Police disclosed in its release.

Meanwhile, the Police have made similar arrangements in the Ashanti and Bono East Regions for the remaining collations where the Police are waiting for the Electoral Commission to confirm the date for these exercises.

The Police have assured the public that adequate security has been provided to enable Electoral Commission officials to carry out their duties without obstruction.
