The Ghana Police Service has sent a strong caution to individuals and groups engaging in violence, vandalism, and other criminal activities aimed at disturbing the peace of Ghana.

According to ACP Grace Ansah Akrofi, Director of Public Affairs of Police Service, the police have recorded several incidents of vandalism and violence in various parts of the country, including the Ghana Gas, Ghana Petroleum Authority, passport office, Engineer Center, GPHA in Tema, demanding for jobs, Ayensuano in the Eastern Region, and Winchi.

The police have worked closely with the Ghana Armed Forces to restore law and order in these areas, which, in the process of restoring law and order, led to an injury to one of the military men.

ACP Ansah Akrofi warned that the police will not tolerate any form of violence or lawlessness anymore.

ACP Ansah Akrofi noted that perpetrators will be arrested and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

"We want to use this opportunity to caution those who are perpetrating these acts that so far no firearms have been used yet, but they should not push it because our officers are ready to respond appropriately according to law to ensure that the peace of this country is not taken for granted," ACP Ansah Akrofi said.

ACP Ansah Akrofi urged the public to remain calm and report any incidents of violence or lawlessness to the authorities.

"We would like to once again assure the good people of this country that the security services are firm on the ground, we are in charge, and we will do whatever it takes to sustain the peace of this country, ensure that there is security, law, and order," ACP Ansah Akrofi said.

As of today, the police have arrested a total of 107 persons in connection with the post-election violence and vandalism.

The police have assured the public that they are firm on the ground and will do whatever it takes to sustain peace, security, law, and order in the country.
