#Election2024: Leave the collation centres and go home — NDC orders supporters

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has ordered its supporters to withdraw from collation centres across the country and allow party leadership to take charge of the ongoing electoral process.

In a press statement issued on Tuesday, December 10, the party’s General Secretary, Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, commended members and supporters for their dedication and vigilance in safeguarding the integrity of the elections.

“Your commitment to safeguarding the integrity of the process has been remarkable and inspiring,” he stated.

The NDC expressed confidence in its leadership and technical team to handle the collation and declaration of results transparently.

“This is the time to trust the leadership and the technical staff of our great party to fully manage the rest of the process. Our party’s leadership, together with our team of experienced professionals, is fully prepared and equipped to ensure that every aspect of the collation and declaration process is handled diligently and transparently,” the statement emphasized.

Supporters were urged to remain calm and confident as the party works to uphold the will of the people.

“Your role in this process has been invaluable, and we urge you to remain calm and confident as we continue to work in your interest. Together, we will secure the victory that Ghana deserves,” Fifi Kwetey noted.

The NDC’s statement comes amid heightened tensions in parts of the country, particularly at parliamentary collation centres, where its supporters have gathered in large numbers.
