A chaotic scene unfolded in Tepa, Ashanti Region, as gunshots rang out, leaving multiple people injured and rushed to the hospital.
Eyewitnesses claim the violence was orchestrated by thugs suspected of being sympathetic to the National Democratic Congress (NDC), who are dissatisfied with the parliamentary election results in the area.
One victim, who wished to remain anonymous, shared a harrowing account with this reporter.
"The office of the Electoral Commission was set ablaze during the chaos," the victim revealed. "The thugs took over the community with guns for several hours, forcing residents to hide in their rooms."
