A shooting incident at Nyankpala in the Northern Region has marred the election in the area.
According to a press release from the Ghana Police Service, four people have been arrested in connection with the incident which has claimed the life of one person.
Meanwhile, another victim of the shooting incident is severely injured and receiving medical care.
“The Ghana Police Service, has this afternoon, arrested four persons namely, Majid Issah, Fodi Issiage Kamara, Yakubu Simalia and Alhaji Bashiru Mohamed, in connection with the shooting incident at Nyankpala in the Northern Region, which led to the death of one person and the injury of another.
“The injured victim is currently receiving medical care, while the body of the deceased is taken to the morgue for preservation and autopsy,” the Ghana Police Service said in its press release.
The release said the suspects are currently in custody and assisting the Police investigation.
