‘Noisy braggart’ – Franklin Cudjoe slams Bawumia on Election Day for junking Ghana’s economy

Founder of IMANI Africa, Franklin Cudjoe has lambasted the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for taking Ghana’s economy from B- to a junk-rated economy.

In a post on Facebook on Election Day today, Mr. Cudjoe shared a video of Dr. Bawumia from 2016 where he slammed the then NDC government for recklessly borrowing and mismanaging the country.

Looking back and comparing the former government to the current government, Franklin Cudjoe concluded that the government of President Akufo-Addo and Dr. Bawumia has performed worse.

He described the Vice President as a noisy braggart, alleging that the NPP government came to steal, kill and destroy.

“Remember this! Noisy braggarts! With all these you took a modest B- rated economy from 2016 to a dreadful debt-ridden and JUNK-RATED economy in 2024! Shame!!

“They just came to do worse! They stole, they pillaged our resources and destroyed forest cover and poisoned our rivers,” Franklin Cudjoe said in his post on Facebook.

He continued, “John Mahama's worst record on corruption is these phony lot's best record. Bandits!!”

Ghanaians will elect a new President and Members of Parliament today to govern the country for the next four years.

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is one of the leading candidates but faces strong competition from former president John Dramani Mahama.
