The National Youth Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), George Opare Addo, has issued a strong warning to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to uphold the peace and integrity of Ghana’s December 7 elections.
Speaking at the NDC’s final rally at Zurak Park in Madina, Opare Addo urged all electoral officers to perform their duties fairly and transparently, emphasizing that the youth of Ghana are ready to defend their ballot.
“Come Saturday, the young people of this country will vote for change. We expect every electoral officer to execute their job with integrity,” he declared.
Addressing President Akufo-Addo directly, he stated, “President John Mahama handed you a peaceful nation. We are challenging you and daring you that anything you do to jeopardize that peace will not end well.”
Opare Addo called on the youth to remain resolute, describing the NPP government as a “criminal organization” that has gambled with the future of young Ghanaians.
He urged Ghanaians to vote decisively for John Dramani Mahama and the NDC to restore hope and progress.
“This is our time to stand up for what is right. Go out, vote, and defend your ballot. The green army of the NDC will protect your vote. Nobody is more Ghanaian than anybody,” he assured.
