As part of its 2024 Rural Watch Project (KLOHERUWAP), the Kloma Hengme Association has made a remarkable contribution to education in Kroboland by donating 1,000 books, along with boxes of pens, pencils, and mathematical sets, to school children in Yonguase, located in the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality.

This initiative reflects Kloma Hengme’s steadfast commitment to empowering Krobo’s youth by equipping them with the tools needed to succeed academically. The donations aim to alleviate the financial burdens on families while promoting a culture of learning and academic excellence within rural communities.

Beyond the distribution of learning materials, the association organized a mentorship session led by professionals, inspiring students to dream big and work diligently toward achieving their goals.

Encouraging Words for Students and Parents

Madam Erica Neene Sackey, head teacher of Anglican JHS in Odumase-Krobo, addressed the role of parents in their children’s education. She encouraged students to prioritize their studies and aspire to professional careers. To parents, she emphasized the importance of investing in their children’s education as a pathway to long-term rewards. "Focus on your education and aspire to be professional. To parents, investing in your children's future today will yield rewarding results tomorrow," she stated.

Madam Gloria Dede Kwao, a professional counselor, urged students to avoid harmful behaviors that could derail their progress. She highlighted the countless opportunities awaiting diligent students, emphasizing that success hinges on their focus and commitment to their education. "Opportunities are waiting for you, but the key to unlocking them lies in your studies. Stay focused, avoid negative vices, and invest in developing your talents," she advised.

Kwao also cautioned students against premature relationships and other distractions, stressing the importance of chastity and self-discipline.

Building a Brighter Future for Kroboland

The 2024 KLOHERUWAP program reinforces Kloma Hengme’s dedication to shaping a brighter future for Kroboland, one student at a time. Through education and mentorship, the association continues to invest in the potential of the youth, ensuring they have the resources and guidance to succeed.
